Officials representing townships of the second class in Clarion County will meet Thursday, September 21, 2023, at the Trinity Point Church of God, Clarion, PA for their 102nd Annual County Convention. The purpose of the annual convention is to provide township officials with up-to-date information to help them better serve their residents and to give them an opportunity to exchange ideas on local government issues.
The convention will feature a wide range of speakers. They will inform the officials about legislation affecting townships of the second class, association programs and services for townships, and issues of major importance to townships and their residents. Listed below is the tentative agenda and workshops for the 102nd County Convention: 8:00AM-9:00 AM Registration. 9:00AM-11:00AM Opening, business session, elections, resolutions, speakers 11:00AM-12:00PM The opportunity to visit with vendors and friends. 12:00PM-1:00PM Lunch 1:00PM-3:00PM Workshops 3:00PM-3:30PM Summation and closing for 102nd Clarion County Convention. The workshops featured for the morning and afternoon: Morning - Roundtable discussion Q&A concerning permitting. Supervisors: Kristi Amato, Clarion Co. Representatives of county, state and national government have also been invited. Also, the Clarion County Association of Township Officials will be presenting their annual awards to the Outstanding Township and the Outstanding Individual.
